About the Job
Building Maintenance and Safety -under the supervision of the Superintendent
Clean and maintain the property to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
Sanitize and deep clean high touch areas at a high frequency.
Bag and dispose of trash, garbage and recyclables to meet Department of Sanitation rules.
Keep receptacles and recycling areas clean and sanitary.
Help to maintain the building free of pests and vermin.
Prepare spaces for meetings and events as needed.
Interact courteously and professionally with residents why encouraging social distance and quarantine policies as needed.
Participate as a team member
Work collaboratively with building staff to assist tenants and ensure continuous deep cleaning and sanitation of the building with special attention to the high touch area, such as light switches, door handles, countertops, handrails, elevator buttons, faucet handles, etc.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
At least one-year janitorial/ cleaning experience.
Comply with background and fingerprint check required by funding agencies.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Prior work experience with homeless/ mentally ill individuals is helpful, but not required
Computer Literate
Highly organized
Strong communication skills
Detail orientated and systems savvy
Compassionate and personable
Team-orientated
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be:
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, Power Point etc. (Preferred)
Physical Requirements:
Frequent bending, kneeling, walking, climbing and lifting to 50 lbs.

Facility grounds
Work site is in a residential and or hotel building
