Porter / MakeReady - Discovery Village at Twin Creeks

The Porter / Make Ready is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, upkeep, and readiness of residential or commercial properties. This includes general maintenance tasks, preparing units for new tenants or occupants, and assisting with overall property management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent service.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Unit Preparation:**
- Perform make-ready tasks including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs in vacant units.
- Ensure all appliances are in working order and that the unit meets company standards before new tenants move in.

2. **Maintenance Support:**
- Assist with routine property maintenance tasks, including landscaping, snow removal, and general upkeep of exterior spaces.
- Conduct regular inspections of property grounds to identify and report maintenance issues.

3. **Cleaning Duties:**
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and laundry facilities.
- Ensure trash and debris are properly disposed of and that the property maintains an inviting appearance.

4. **Customer Service:**
- Respond promptly to tenant and guest requests, providing assistance as needed to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with the property management team regarding issues and resolutions.

5. **Safety Compliance:**
- Adhere to all safety and operational protocols to ensure a safe environment for tenants, guests, and staff.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance needs to management immediately.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in maintenance, custodial services, or property management is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, and other maintenance tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items, and perform physical labor.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license may be required.

**Physical Requirements:**

- Ability to stand, bend, stretch, and kneel for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
