Position Overview:
As a Porter at Porsche Riverside, you will play an essential role in keeping our dealership's parking lot organized and presentable. Your duties include monitoring parked vehicles, ensuring customer vehicles are safely handled, and assisting with various dealership operations. This position requires accountability, safe driving skills, and attentiveness to detail.
General Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Care and Movement: Safely handle, move, and park customer vehicles and dealership inventory while ensuring proper care to uphold dealership standards.
- Vehicle Cleaning: Perform thorough interior and exterior cleaning, including washing, drying, vacuuming, and wiping surfaces. Apply wax and tire shine as needed to ensure vehicles are clean and visually appealing.
- Lot Organization and Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free parking lot and dealership premises, arranging vehicles according to lot plans and ensuring high-visibility display of marketable inventory.
- Inventory and Key Management: Monitor vehicle movements, manage keys, and promptly replace sold vehicles with new inventory while maintaining accurate records. Ensure vehicles have the correct factory and addendum stickers and display accurate selling prices.
- Customer Assistance: Assist customers with vehicle pick-up and drop-off to create a smooth and positive experience.
- Reporting and Compliance: Promptly report any issues with vehicles, keys, or lot organization to the supervisor, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- General Support: Provide assistance to dealership staff with other duties as needed
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience as a car porter or in a similar role preferred
- Driving Requirements: Must have held a valid driver’s license for at least two years and have a clean driving record.
- Skills:
- Attention to detail for recording vehicle information accurately
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks as needed
- Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Driving History: Must have held a valid driver’s license for at least two years
- Customer Focus: Ability to handle valuable customer property with care and integrity
