Police Officer - City of North Salt Lake

The North Salt Lake Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer.

The North Salt Lake Police Department is recruiting qualified candidates that are looking for an opportunity to work in a community minded, service oriented police department. Officers of the North Salt Lake Police Department are initially assigned a position in the Patrol Division, with opportunities to serve in specialized full-time and collateral assignments. Examples are:

Full-Time Assignments:

-Community Liaison Officer

-K-9

-Detective

-Special Operations (Including gang and narcotics enforcement)

Collateral Assignments:

-Special Traffic Enforcement

-Drug Recognition Expert

-DARE Officer

-SWAT (As part of the North Davis Metro SWAT Team)

Salary and Benefit Information

-Minimum Starting Salary DOE: $32.34/hour - $67,260/year

Minimum Qualifications:

-Graduation from High School or GED

-Completion of Utah Peace Officer Standards and Training and certified, or ability to be certified by POST.

-Valid Utah Driver's License (or obtains a valid Utah Driver's License upon appointment)

-Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation.

-Demonstrated ability to pass departmental qualification tests involving firearms, arrest control, and emergency vehicle operations.
