Full-Time Police Officer Newport Township Police Department, Luzerne County, PA Newport Township Police Department, Newport Township, Pa is accepting applications for a Full-Time Police Officer. Minimum Job Requirements: Applicant must have successfully completed and passed Act 120 certification (PA Municipal Police Officers Education and Training). In addition, the applicant must have passed the MPOETC Certification exam and said certification must be current in order to be eligible for employment. Applicant must be a citizen of the United States of America. Applicant must be 21 years of age on or before the date of application. Applicant must possess a valid Pennsylvania drivers license. Applicant must possess a high school or general equivalency diploma. Applicant must be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer.
