***Law Enforcement Dispatcher experience preferred***
The school police communications operates six days a week, Monday through Saturday from 6AM - 10PM. Shifts are typically five 8-hour days per week. At this moment there are no graveyards. Shifts are subject to change. Additionally, this position will be required to work evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends. An approximate 5% shift differential may apply.
This position qualifies for District Paid health and wellness benefits for employee and dependents.
Police Dispatchers may qualify for the following pay differentials.
Bilingual Differential: 5%
Eligible candidates will participate in a performance exam to test for bilingual fluency.
Post Dispatch Training Differential:
Police Dispatchers that hold a POST Dispatcher Certification are eligible for a differential. New employees must pass a POST Certified Dispatcher Basic Academy within one year of employment.
Basic POST Dispatcher Certificate: 3.5%
Intermediate POST Dispatcher Certificate: 4.5%
Advanced POST Dispatcher Certificate: 6%
Other differentials:
Certified Training Officer differential: 5%
Night differential: 5%
Longevity Differentials - The District shall implement a five percent (5%) longevity differential for unit members that have ten (10) or more years’ service with the Department.
A unit member in an active monthly bargaining unit assignment who has reached the fourteenth (14th) anniversary of continuous monthly employment with the District, including service in restricted status positions, will be paid an annual lump sum anniversary stipend. This anniversary stipend is $715.88.
