Job Description: As a Pole Loading Designer, you will be responsible for assisting in the design and production of engineering deliverables related to point-to-point wireless networks. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure compliance with design and construction specifications while adhering to engineering best practices. This position offers the flexibility of remote work within the United States.

- Develop a growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of wiring/cabling connections in relation to circuits or links between devices and equipment.
- Utilize knowledge of Radio Frequency and/or point-to-point wireless networks.
- Assist in calculations and use client specifications to create Pole Loading Analysis reports.
- Design aerial paths from point A to point B based on engineering best practices.
- Review utility poles and field notes to determine the most accurate make-ready solution.
- Research and document requirements on aerial construction by pole owner or customer.
- Verify utility measurements on existing utility poles to prepare pole attachment applications for submittal to governing utilities.
- Bachelor's or associate degree in drafting technology or a related field.
- Basic understanding of electric utility distribution design.
- Proficiency with pole loading analysis software (e.g., O-Calc Pro, Katapult, Pole Foreman, Spida-calc, PLS-Pole).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Visio.
- Experience with Sketchup, Adobe PDF Editor, and Adobe Photoshop.
- Familiarity with OSHA specifications pertaining to utility attachment separations and clearances preferred.
- Experience with Pole Make Ready comprehension preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- $24/hr. - $36/hr.
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
