Position Summary:
LCG is seeking a PMO Director to lead the Program Management Office (PMO). The goal is to ensure programs and projects meet organizational and contractual standards. This role requires a visionary leader who can manage the day-today activities of the PMO and can shape the vision of the team and ensure alignment with our strategic goals. The ideal candidate values collaboration and demonstrates a deep understanding that effective solutions emerge from listening and engaging with diverse perspectives. This role will partner with various department leaders such as Quality, Growth, and HR for workforce planning. They will also partner with LCG’s Digital Experience and Transformation Center (DETC) and Project/Task Leads to develop and maintain LCG specific management and delivery frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the PMO that aligns with the company’s goals for growth, technology innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Provide recommendation on best practices and industry standards for PMOs, process improvements, and certifications.
- Mentor team members and Project Management Leadership to improve processes, procedures, and standards based on program needs and requirements to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to effectively support the PMO projects and initiatives.
- Serve as point of contact for external consultants.
- Oversee the management and execution of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Collaborate with HR to understand the contract landscape and guide workforce planning, focusing on emerging technologies and modernization.
- Foster strong partnerships across LCG to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives and provide project transparency.
- Work with project teams and project managers to provide direction, guidance and support on PMO processes and policies to increase knowledge base and quality of deliverables.
- Regularly reviewing and updating processes to align with CMMI and LCG standards.
- Continuously assess and improve project management processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Working closely with the QMO establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the PMO and individual projects.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Deep understanding of various project management frameworks and methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Lean.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop staff.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with organizational goals and drive the PMO's vision and direction.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain effective partnerships with customers, internal teams and departments, project teams and executive leadership.
- Ability to track and measure metrics and KPIs from various projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills including ability to implement various forms of effective communication.
- Proven track record in managing federal contracts, including knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and compliance requirements.
- Comprehensive understanding of Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) standards, assessment methods, and certification processes.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Comprehensive understanding of ISO standards, assessment methods, and certification processes a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use Microsoft 365 Copilot to enhance productivity in daily project management tasks, including drafting project plans, generating status reports, summarizing team meetings, and preparing executive presentations.
- Skilled in guiding team members to leverage Microsoft 365 Copilot tools to improve collaboration, streamline project workflows, and ensure efficient project execution and communication.
Compensation and Benefits
The projected compensation range for this position is $198,300 to $239,900 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The target salary for this role is $213,700. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
