The role is available due to an internal promotion (the last person was a PM who bid work, and liked being in the warm, so decided to focus more on bidding, and now, they run the division, a team of about 7). You’d be number 8 as the hire, but number 2 in terms of seniority, so this means you’d be someone who is asked lots of questions on the ‘how’ by those less experienced than you.

Both public & private client work up to about $500M. The bonding capacity here is BIG. But lets get one thing clear, they are not one of the “big” firms, so don’t expect the corporate vibe

This role is about developing someone to be able to bid the work they build. This is a skill set that’s highly in demand so this firm wants to get ahead of the curve by hiring people that do both.

All that you need is either a degree in civil or mechanical engineering and 7+ years experience working for a NY/NJ heavy civil GC and the interest to bid work. The firm can help develop the rest!
