Service Tech Needed for Established Plumbing & Heating Company!

Compensation: $38-$42/hr. + Commissions

Definition of Role:
You are responsible for ensuring that you deliver exceptional service and quality to our customers and contractors. You are responsible for all aspects of the service call including making sure you are in a safe work environment, the quality of the product which is being delivered to our customers and the professional environment you are creating that best represents the company.

Definition of Role:
You are responsible for ensuring that you deliver exceptional service and quality to our customers and contractors. You are responsible for all aspects of the service call including making sure you are in a safe work environment, the quality of the product which is being delivered to our customers and the professional environment you are creating that best represents the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Know your project and the scope of the work
- Manage stock in your truck utilizing Sortly.
- Customer service skills: Service Tech’s need to be able to effectively communicate with customers to diagnose problems and explain solutions.
- Communicate daily with the service dispatcher and your Project Manager.
- Problem – solving: When something goes wrong with a plumbing system, it is up to the service tech to diagnose the problem and solve it. This requires excellent problem-solving skills
- Weekly time sheets must be submitted accurately and on time – The last day of your current work week.
- Daily invoices completed and submitted by the close of that business day and make sure any issues that arise on the job are immediately brought to the attention of the service dispatcher and your Project Manager.
- Maintain a weekly efficiency rating of 85%. This is measured by your total hours worked divided by the total number of hours billed. Example: On a 40-hour work week you need to invoice 34 hours for that week.
- Successfully completed Massachusetts apprentice program
- Licensed Plumber in Massachusetts, (New Hampshire and Maine License a plus).
- Physical strength and stamina are essential because it can be a physically demanding job. Service techs need to be able to move heavy objects and work in uncomfortable positions.
- Holds a valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
- Available to work nights, weekends, and off hours.
