Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday
Plumbing Outside Sales Representative Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. The purpose of this role is to establish new customers and maintain long lasting relationships to uncover sales opportunities in order to grow the footprint of the company within the assigned territory.
Plumbing Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities
- Work to expand and maintain a database of prospects within an assigned territory.
- Proactively seek opportunities to obtain new customers and research potential clients/accounts in order to identify key players.
- Use active listening skills to gain knowledge on what products fit client needs and introduce these products to clients accordingly.
- Stay current on existing and emerging product by attending trainings.
- Follow-up on all generated quotations to assure that the customer is being serviced and to document the outcome of the proposed solution.
- Generate profitable sales orders.
- Successfully close, on-board, and retain accounts using sales and customer service processes.
- Report competitive conditions and feedback from customers to management.
- Maintain ethical, cooperative relationships consistent with company image and company/branch goals in the marketplace with builders, contractors, architects, professional remodelers etc. in order to grow profitable sales.
Plumbing Outside Sales Representative Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in an outside sales role or retail sales environment.
- Mathematical skills, accuracy in measurement.
- Strong understanding of products and the ability to articulate their value proposition.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage clients effectively.
- Experience in lead generation, territory management, and account management is highly desirable.
- Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a commitment to achieving results.
- A valid driver's license is required for travel within the assigned territory.
