Are you an experienced plumber with a knack for leadership and a passion for problem-solving? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are looking for a Plumbing Foreman or Journeyman to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. You will oversee and guide the plumbing team and ensure that all plumbing systems are installed and maintained to the highest standard. This role is perfect for an experienced professional who is looking for a challenging yet rewarding career in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
As a Plumbing Journeyman/Foreman, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing and coordinating the activities of the plumbing team.
2. Reviewing blueprints and building codes to determine optimal work procedures.
3. Ensuring all plumbing systems are installed and maintained in accordance with the required standards.
4. Coordinating with other construction professionals, such as electricians, carpenters, and civil engineers.
5. Training and mentoring junior plumbing staff.
6. Ensuring the proper maintenance of equipment and keeping an inventory of tools and equipment.
7. Conducting regular inspections to identify and fix any potential issues.
8. Managing and resolving any emergencies or problems that arise.
9. Ensuring compliance with all safety and health regulations.
10. Providing regular progress updates to the project manager and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A minimum of 3 years of commercial experience in the plumbing field.
2. Previous experience as a Plumbing Foreman or in a similar supervisory role.
3. Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems and procedures.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building codes.
8. Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
9. A valid plumbing license.
10. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
11. High attention to detail and a focus on quality.
12. A strong understanding of safety and health regulations in the construction industry.
