Position Overview: We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced PLC Technician to join their manufacturing team. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting automation control systems, specifically with PLCs, to ensure seamless plant operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in electronic manufacturing and a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Automation Control: Access and troubleshoot PLC systems, with a focus on reading and diagnosing ladder logic, particularly with Allen Bradley PLCs.
Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret schematic drawings and technical specifications to resolve issues and maintain equipment functionality.
System Maintenance: Utilize knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems to ensure continuous operation of manufacturing equipment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- Associate's degree in Mechatronics (preferred).
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
- At least 4 years of experience with automation controls software.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
- Ability to log onto PLCs, specifically Allen Bradley, and troubleshoot ladder logic.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems.

Minimum of 5 years in mechanical systems and controls in industrial settings, with 2 years in manufacturing processes. Hands-on expertise in hydraulic troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial rolling mill equipment (mills, rolls, drive components, etc.). Familiarity with aluminum, steel, or paper rolling is highly preferred.
