Responsibilities:
As a Plastics Lead Supervisor/Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our plastics production line. Key responsibilities include:
1. Overseeing day-to-day production activities to ensure that manufacturing objectives are achieved.
2. Supervising and coordinating the activities of the production team.
3. Ensuring that all production machinery, including blow machines, are operated safely and efficiently.
4. Monitoring the production process, making necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
5. Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality, efficiency, and safety.
6. Ensuring the proper handling, storage, and disposal of raw materials and waste products.
7. Training, mentoring, and developing team members to ensure that they have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.
8. Collaborating with other departments to address production issues and implement solutions.
9. Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards, including health and safety regulations.
10. Conducting regular inspections of the production area to identify and address potential issues.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the plastics manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience working with blow machines, production, manufacturing, grinding, material handling, continuous improvement, and quality.
3. Strong leadership and team management skills.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly under pressure.
5. A thorough understanding of health and safety regulations in the manufacturing industry.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. The ability to train and mentor team members effectively.
8. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
10. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
