Position Summary:
Cirtec Medical is seeking a Plastic Injection Molder to join their team. This position is responsible for performing a variety of manual, semi-automated or automated tasks necessary for the manufacturing of sub-assemblies and/or final product while maintaining productivity, quality, on-time delivery and safety of self and co-workers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Experience in the set-up and changeover of both hydraulic and electric injection molding machines of 5 to 150-ton press sizes, as well as all related secondary equipment (Dryers, Robots/Pickers, chillers, and temperature control units).
· Understand and operate all press controls and operator interfaces.
· Installation Qualification responsibility to ensure press is set-up to requirements provided by Engineering and/or listed in the installation validation protocol.
· Responsible for material management – the scanning of material in/out of the materials management system when pulled and then the return of material to inventory.
· Establish the production process using saved press programs and the standard listed on the traveler. Use forms and work instructions provided on the molding floor
· Understand and use travelers, Standard Operator Procedures (SOP) as required to perform set-ups and correct problems following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
· Operate molding machine in a safe and efficient manner using designated tools
· Follow all start up and shut down procedures
· Read, comprehend and perform duties as outlined in the Work Instructions.
· Work overtime as required
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time
· Maintain accurate written records while performing your duties.
· Promote safety by abiding to all related policies and procedures.
· Communication with prior and oncoming shifts to give work assignments and expectations to achieve production requirements and promote shift interaction and awareness.
· Communication with supervisors, manufacturing engineers, maintenance technicians, quality assurance personnel managers.
· Complies with company, quality, and safety standards, policies, and procedures
· Other duties as assigned.
Must Have:
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Relevant experience as a Plastic Injection Molder in the field with a strong mechanical aptitude required.
· Plus is a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in molding Plastic Injection molded parts
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
· Ability to work and make decisions independently that support the productions environment.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out assignments or request assistance when required
· Clean room component or device level manufacturing experience
· Ability to learn and use microscope
· Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend written and verbal instructions in English
Hours:
Monday to Thursday, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm
