LHH is partnering with a prominent player in the manufacturing industry to find an experienced Plant Safety Manager for their Oakdale, CA facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you’ll be the driving force in cultivating a proactive EHS culture, championing best practices that lead to a safe and sustainable workplace. Your Role in Driving Safety Excellence:
In this high-impact role, you will:
- Develop and Implement EHS Strategies
- Lead the design and execution of environmental, health, and safety programs that align with company and regulatory standards.
- Ensure Compliance and Sustainability
- Manage all aspects of environmental compliance, from monitoring to documentation, ensuring alignment with government regulations and corporate guidelines.
- Foster a Culture of Safety
- Develop training programs, conduct plant audits, and enforce preventative safety measures to create a secure, accident-free work environment.
- Investigate and Report Incidents
- Guide the process of accident investigation, analysis, and reporting to meet regulatory requirements and identify preventative solutions.
- Conduct On-Site Inspections and Audits
- Regularly inspect the plant for potential hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective or preventive measures to maintain a safe environment.
- Lead and Engage the EHS Team
- Serve as the head of the EHS Pillar Team, collaborating across departments to set a high standard for safety practices.
- Manage Workers’ Compensation Processes
- Oversee initial reporting functions related to workers’ compensation claims and provide ongoing support.
- Ensure Comprehensive Training Compliance
- Organize safety training for staff to meet OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements, driving compliance across all plant operations.
Are You the Right Fit?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Health, or a related discipline.
- 5+ Years of Safety Experience in Manufacturing
- Demonstrated expertise in managing EHS programs in a manufacturing setting.
- 3-5 Years of Leadership and Project Management
- Proven background in leading teams and overseeing EHS project initiatives.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT Regulations
- Comprehensive understanding of safety and environmental regulations at both the state and federal levels.
- Risk Management and Audit Skills
- Experienced in performing risk assessments and leading thorough EHS audits.
Work Schedule
- Full-time, on-site (Monday to Friday).
Compensation and Benefits Package
- Annual Salary
- $104,000 - $150,000, depending on location, experience, and skills.
