Plant Manager - The Resource Co

We're assisting our client, a metal fabrication company, in their search for a Plant Manager for their facility in Kernersville, NC.

The Plant Manager will supervise personnel and their performance to company goals and metrics, in compliance with all company policies, including local, state, and federal regulations. They will partner directly with Quality, Engineering, and Project Management to ensure products meet contractual requirements and Customer expectations.

Location: Kernersville, NC

Salary Range: $100,000-$135,000/year (depending on experience)

Candidates must have metal fabrication management experience to be considered

Responsibilities:

• Lead, direct, and supervise hourly manufacturing team to support key performance indicators of safety, quality, delivery, productivity, inventory management & material control
• Monitor & report production goals, objectives, and standards; and communicate performance throughout organization
• Drive & Ensure accountability of adherence to company policies, procedures, and performance standards
• Maintain traceability of material throughout manufacturing process
• Drive safety culture & ensure adherence to company safety policies and compliance agencies
• Identify, forecast, and justify human resource & equipment needs.
• Develop resources & talent to ensure growth path for high achieving personnel
• Ensure all required training is conducted and appropriate record management is maintained
• Identify and escalate operational problem to management with options for resolution
• Monitor & control departmental budgets to support financial targets
• Initiate continuous improvements activities to enhance safety, quality, and productivity metrics
• Cooperate with Engineering to assist in developing procedures, processes, and methods to support manufacturing.
• Provide feedback on fabricability of Engineering designs & propose alternatives, as needed
• Optimize workflow and adjust as necessary to achieve goals and objectives
• Monitor and approve all manufacturing personnel timecards according to established schedules
• Perform other tasks and duties that may be assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Metal fabrication experience (required)
• Experience managing a shop floor (will manage 40-45 hourly employees)
• Strong understanding of stringent quality control program
• Nuclear background a plus
