Plant Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Will be managing between 5-8 employees
- Responsible for opening and closing the plant and all aspects of managing the manufacturing facility
- Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and safety
- Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production goals, optimize processes, and minimize downtime
- Colloborate with senior management to set operational goals and budgets, track performance, and report on key metrics
- Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues in plant machinery, control systems, and equipment
- Ensure proper maintenance of electrical equipment systems, coordinating with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance and repairs
- Lead projects related to the installation and upgrade of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement lean manufacturing practices
- Colloborate with supply chain, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure efficient flow of materials and finished products
- Manage plant budgets, control operational costs, and work to optimize resource allocation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing tools such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other process improvement methodologies
- Lead efforts to reduce energy consumption and improve plant sustainability
- Possess a strong background in Electrical Controls and or Engineering
- Combine experience in technical expertise in electrical systems with strong leadership and operational management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field (Master’s Degree is a plus)
- Minimum of 5 years in plant management or a leadership role in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on electrical systems
- Proven track record of leading teams and driving operational improvements in production setting
- Deep understanding of electrical systems, controls, and machinery used in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead technical troubleshooting efforts
- Familiarity with team lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process optimization methodologies
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements for electrical systems and manufacturing operations
- Experience in energy management, power distribution systems, or automation within a plant environment
- Some travel may be required to attend training or visit other company facilities
