Who You'll Be Working With
You'll be leading a dedicated team of professionals at our Marion facility, including management and hourly staff across all shifts. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Project Management, Engineering, Maintenance, Milling, Procurement, Quality, Human Resources, Operations and Sales to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. Your leadership will be central to fostering a culture of teamwork, safety, and innovation, ensuring that every team member is aligned with the company's goals and values.

- Lead and manage day-to-day operations at the Marion facility, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity across all shifts.
- Review current processes, equipment, and workflows. Meet with key team members to understand their roles, challenges, and suggestions.
- Analyze current OEE metrics, pinpoint bottlenecks, and optimize production processes, and set a target for improving OEE by a certain percentage.
- Engage in hands-on management, directly overseeing production processes and addressing operational challenges.
- Develop and implement regular reporting mechanisms for performance metrics. Ensure clear communication of goals, progress, and challenges with the team and senior management.
- Identify training needs, implement skill development programs, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Set goals for employee satisfaction and retention.
- Promote a safety-first mindset and ensure adherence to all company policies, leading by example in all areas.
Requirements
- Proven Leadership Experience: Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field; 10+ years of relevant experience in plant management, preferably in milling or food processing, with a strong track record of hands-on leadership.
- Safety and Quality Focus: Demonstrated commitment to fostering a culture of safety and ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards.
- Team Building and Mentorship: Strong ability to coach, mentor, and develop teams, driving collaboration and operational excellence.
- Operational Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of plant operations, including grain milling, production line management, and maintenance of physical facilities.
- Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze data for operational decision-making and continuous improvement.
