Education & Experience:
- Two or more years of experience in a plant management or similar role involving operational leadership
- Experience managing an electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, machining, and electro-mechanical teams
- Experience working in one or more of the following industries: machining & tooling, automation, OEM, aerospace manufacturing
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of production operations and machinery
- Strong understanding of building and equipment maintenance
- Ability to read mechanical assembly prints and electrical schematics
- Acquainted with OSHA standards as applied to manufacturing (Facilities and Assembly)
- Familiarity utilizing a wide variety of shop tools
- Excellent understanding of QA processes (preferred ISO9001) & practices as related to NCR
- Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and other productivity applications and platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proven organizational skills, including time management and attention to detail
Job responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily workflow and assignments of production workers
- Communicate and coordinate with vendors, customers, and employees, including a diverse team of engineers, technicians, machinists, and assemblers
- Onboard and train new employees to ensure that they adhere to standard operating procedures
- Monitor day-to-day operations, report on performance, and recommend actionable improvements when necessary
- Order supplies and manage inventory, coordinating with accounting, finance, and purchasing departments to adhere to budget
- Write and present annual employee performance reviews
- Create and implement PIP’s
Objectives of this Role:
- Mentor and manage shop floor employees, providing support and instruction in project execution
- Develop and implement shop floor control measures, recommending new procedures for increasing the efficiency of day-to-day operations
- Maintain communication with employees and vendors to ensure adherence to protocols across key touch points
- Develop, plan, and coordinate operational activities
- Ensure that operations are in legal compliance with local and national regulations
- Develop final checks process for shipment of equipment
