As the Plant Manager, you will have complete responsibility for the managing the operational performance of the manufacturing area including Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, HR, Finance, and Customer Service to meet or exceed the business plan, budget, and forecasts. This includes closely monitoring production schedules, coordinating with various departments to ensure timely fulfillment of orders, and proactively addressing any issues that may arise to maintain customer satisfaction. You are intimately involved in all operational activities, not just overseeing and delegating actively working to uphold on-time delivery and meet customer requirements at every stage of the process.
Plant Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead the entire Operations team to ensure Customer Delivery Performance; conduct performance reviews, motivate all staff through goal setting and achievement metrics, which includes Cam/CNC, Secondary, Processing, Finishing, Washing, Toolmaking, Engineering, Operational Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Logistics, and EHS.
- Conduct regular meetings to review production schedules, prioritize work, address issues, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Manage Engineering and Production Teams on changes to improve efficiency and manufacturability; participate in drawing, design, and BOM reviews; ensure compliance with applicable industry standards.
- Assist Quality Engineering in maintaining/updating the overall company quality program and necessary industry certifications.
- Develop manufacturing processes and procedures to ensure efficient operations and compliance with our quality program; ensure that procedures and safety protocols are followed; ensure that production tools and equipment are properly maintained and functional.
- Lead the Operational Quality and Production Teams to resolve technical issues on the Production Floor and incorporate feedback from customers and Engineering into product improvements.
- Ensure Raw Material Security through analysis of Customer Requirements in collaboration with Purchasing Specialist and Logistics.
- Ensure the Safety of the Production Floor through the EHS Leader.
- Assist Sales team with new project specification review; communicate project requirements to Engineering and Production.
- Manages employees and is Responsible for all departments' overall direction, coordination, and evaluation. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or bachelor's degree in technical discipline (Mechanical, Industrial, Engineering).
- 5+ years' experience as a Plant Manager in manufacturing industry, driving Production and Quality results.
- Background in process improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years managing staff.
- Proficient with ERP and office package.

Education/Experience: 5+ years of experience preferred. Must have a track record of success in leading a manufacturing facility. Must understand engineering drawings, aerospace manufacturing experience preferred. Knowledge of CNC and CAM Swiss Screws machines a plus.
