Volt is immediately hiring for Plant Maintenance Mechanic in Tempe, AZ
As a Plant Maintenance Mechanic, you will:
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Follow diagrams, manuals, and specifications for repairs. Troubleshoot and identify malfunctions.
• Inspect and remove defective parts using hand and power tools. Measure and adjust part dimensions as needed.
• Communicate preventive maintenance needs and ensure compliance. Fabricate repair parts using machine shop tools.
• Maintain inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies.
• Complete daily maintenance paperwork and prepare equipment setups.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment by following procedures and regulations.
This is a Full-time Contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or manufacturing.
• 1+ years of experience with mechanical/electrical repair.
• Knowledge of fabrication, machine shop tools, welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to read and follow schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints.
• LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License preferred.
• EPA Refrigeration Certification preferred.
• Basic PLC knowledge and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Forklift Certification or powered equipment experience preferred. If a candidate is asked to drive a forklift and is not certified, the candidate will need to be certified before they are able to operate a forklift.
Pay Rate: $30 - $32 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
