Plant Maintenance Manager – Recycling Industry
Our client, a leader in the recycling industry, is dedicated to sustainability and innovation through the processing of large volumes of recycled materials. They are seeking a Plant Maintenance Manager to oversee the efficient operation of production lines and facilities. This role provides an opportunity to lead a skilled maintenance team and significantly contribute to operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement all maintenance activities for production lines and facility equipment
- Manage repairs, services, and maintenance of industrial machinery, ensuring quality control standards
- Oversee maintenance schedules, workflows, and ensure accurate record-keeping
- Provide leadership and direction to the Plant Maintenance team
- Establish and maintain the plant operations maintenance program with a focus on safety
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and external service providers
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 7+ years of experience in maintenance management
- Hands-on expertise in Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electrical (3-phase), Mechanical systems, Welding, and Programmed Logic Controls (PLCs)
- 5-7 years of experience in a supervisory capacity
- Knowledge of maintenance practices related to industrial equipment, including balers, conveyors, and electro-mechanical devices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost management and efficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with varying timelines
- Willingness to work shifts, including holidays and weekends, as required
- Ability to work in diverse environments (hot, cold, wet, dusty)
- Professional certification is preferred
