SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking an Energy Systems Plant Engineer for its client in Minneapolis, MN. The person will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of plant systems and machinery. This includes overseeing daily operations, managing projects to improve plant performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of plant systems and equipment.
·Manage engineering projects, including planning, coordinating, and executing improvements to optimize plant performance and reduce costs.
·Lead cross-functional teams to execute projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
·Conduct regular plant assessments to identify potential upgrades or necessary maintenance.
·Develop and manage project timelines and budgets for plant-related projects.
·Collaborate with other departments (e.g., operations, maintenance, and safety) to resolve technical issues and improve plant processes.
·Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations during plant operations and projects.
·Prepare reports on plant performance, maintenance schedules, and project status for management.
·Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs to minimize plant downtime.
·Monitor and improve plant performance through data analysis and the implementation of best practices.
·Assist with the training of plant staff on new systems, equipment, and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
·Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or any related field.
·7+ years of experience in plant engineering, preferably within the energy or nuclear engineering industry.
·Proven experience managing engineering projects from conception to completion.
·Strong knowledge of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
·Proficient in CAD software, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
·Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
·Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
·Knowledge of plant safety, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
·PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
