About the Job
Job Title: Plant Controller.
Summary: Manage financial and accounting controls. Oversee the financial operations of the plant. Develop and maintain accounting systems, maintain books of accounts, manage day-to-day financial matters. Prepare financial records, analyze costs and create monthly budget reports. Analyze financial and operational data, provide management reporting, create financial and operating budgets. Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting principles.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Construct systems to accumulate and monitor data.
- Plan budgets and prepare reports for multiple departments and companies using the MRP financial system and QuickBooks.
- Prepare and report weekly and monthly company performance metrics. Prepare and lead the weekly financial review.
- Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies. Coordinate with the CPA firm.
- Prepare financial and cash flow forecasts for monthly, quarterly and annual operating schedules.
- Analyze month-end and year-end reports to identify and recommend cost-effective improvements.
- Prepare various journal entries to maintain the company's books of accounts.
- Maintain companywide records for fixed assets or liabilities.
- Manage and oversee day to day cash management operations internally as well as in coordination with financial institutions.
- Oversee reconciliation of bank accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare all financial reports and statements as required to comply with internal/external reporting requirements.
- Manage and oversee AP, full cycle AR, cash posting, general and payroll bank reconciliations.
- Manage and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly accounting duties related to cash balance and receipts, general ledger and month end close, journal entries.
- Maintain records for fixed assets and liabilities, prepaid expenses, sales tax, new tooling and month-end physical inventory.
- Collaborates with management to prepare company budgets. Create financial and/ accounting reports using Excel and ERP systems as required.
- Perform year-end closing and balancing procedures in accordance with approved procedures.
- Perform all daily and monthly duties related to cash balance, general ledger and month closing.
- Assure and maintain strict standards of confidentiality and trustworthiness in all matters of company business financials.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- CPA and / or MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of work experience as an individual contributor.
- 1-3 + years’ experience in a Supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and best practices
- Familiarity with accounting software programs, MRP systems and QuickBooks.
- Computer literacy skills, especially with MS Excel and MS Office.
- Analytical skills with a keen sense of organization and detail.
- Proven time management skills and ability to work under strict deadlines.
- Respect for confidentiality of information laws and local ethics.
- Expertise in financial and manufacturing cost costing.
