We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial management of the plant, including cost accounting, inventory control, budgeting and forecasting. This role is integral to our strategic planning, offering insights on cost optimization, profitability analysis, and project management. The Plant Controller will also be responsible for driving financial performance and implementing financial strategies to support the business.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of plant finance operations including cost accounting, inventory control, accounts payable and receivable, and budgeting.
2. Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to management, detailing production costs, operational expenses, and budget variances.
3. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and strategies.
4. Conduct regular financial analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
5. Collaborate with plant management team to develop and implement cost-saving measures and financial strategies.
6. Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
7. Lead project management initiatives, tracking progress against financial objectives and making necessary adjustments to keep projects on track and within budget.
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, providing them with clear and concise financial information to support decision making.
9. Continually evaluate the effectiveness of accounting and financial controls, recommending and implementing improvements as necessary.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or a professional certification such as CMA or CPA would be an advantage.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
4. Strong financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
5. Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
6. Proven project management skills, with the ability to lead projects to successful completion.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
