We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Plant Controller to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our financial operations, providing strategic planning, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to guide our business decisions. This is a unique opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge in a challenging and rewarding environment, with plenty of scope for professional growth and development.
This position will be for a new plant in Kansas City and will have the opportunity to build out this new facility which will be making our newest product line! Remote with travel to start, but will become onsite in January 2025, when the plant opens.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Plant Controller, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all financial operations of the manufacturing plant, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
2. Developing and implementing strategic financial plans to optimize profitability and growth.
3. Applying Lean Accounting and Six Sigma principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
4. Utilizing SAP and other financial software to manage and analyze financial data.
5. Conducting comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
6. Preparing accurate and timely financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
7. Ensuring compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and best practices in financial management.
8. Collaborating with other departments to drive financial performance and achieve business objectives.
9. Providing financial guidance and support for business decision-making, including financial modeling and business analysis.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is highly desirable.
2. CPA or CMA certification.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
4. Proficiency in strategic planning, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
5. Strong knowledge of Lean Accounting, Six Sigma, Dynamics 365, and other financial management tools.
6. Excellent financial modeling and business analysis skills.
7. A strong understanding of internal controls and financial reporting.
8. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and liaise with various stakeholders.
