A growing manufacturing plant is seeking a motivated and experienced Plant Controller to join our team. This is a permanent role in which you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our manufacturing operations, including cost accounting, inventory control, budgeting, and forecasting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decisions, ensuring the financial integrity of the plant, and driving profitability. This position requires a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations of the plant, including cost accounting, inventory control, budgeting, and forecasting.
2. Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decisions and drive profitability.
3. Ensure the financial integrity of the plant by implementing and maintaining strong internal controls.
4. Partner with plant management to develop and execute strategic initiatives to achieve operational and financial goals.
5. Prepare and present financial reports to plant management and corporate finance.
6. Lead the annual budgeting process and regular forecasting exercises for the plant.
7. Manage and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize business processes and improve efficiency.
9. Drive cost reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
10. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
Qualifications:
1. CPA or CMA designation is required.
2. Bachelor of Science degree in accounting or related field.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a plant controller role within the engineering industry.
4. Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting and financial analysis.
5. Proven track record of driving profitability and operational efficiency.
6. Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a team.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
9. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office suite.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
11. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
12. Strong business acumen and ability to partner with senior management.
