You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and managing our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. - Oversee all financial operations in the plant, including budgeting, financial reporting, and forecasting.
- Conduct variance analysis to understand the plant's financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement robust financial systems and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage pricing strategies to drive profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the market.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Manage the use of the ERP system, ensuring its effective utilization for financial management and reporting.
- Collaborate with plant management to develop strategic plans and initiatives that align with the company's financial goals.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions, contributing to the plant's overall financial success.
- Review and approve all financial transactions and expenditures, ensuring their alignment with the plant's budget and financial goals.
- Work closely with external auditors and manage the audit process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or relevant professional certification (such as CMA, CPA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting and experience with financial analysis.
- Proficiency in financial software, specifically SAGE, and ERP systems.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and other financial regulations and standards.
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
