Job Details
The Planning & Scheduling Manager is responsible for overall leadership, coordination, and communication of the scheduling & planning process for the site. The Planning & Scheduling Manager works closely with Programs & Sales, Inventory, and Purchasing teams to develop, drive, and implement "best in class" planning and scheduling systems, strategies, and processes across our low volume, high mix defense product manufacturing environment.
Prior experience with department turnaround and SIOP implementation is a must have for consideration!

Job Details
The Planning & Scheduling Manager is responsible for overall leadership, coordination, and communication of the scheduling & planning process for the site. The Planning & Scheduling Manager works closely with Programs & Sales, Inventory, and Purchasing teams to develop, drive, and implement "best in class" planning and scheduling systems, strategies, and processes across our low volume, high mix defense product manufacturing environment.
Prior experience with department turnaround and SIOP implementation is a must have for consideration!
Principal Activities
- Create and implement a planning and scheduling process in order to reduce WIP and finished goods inventory.
- SIOP training and implementation across the plant
- Engage and manage a team of 5+ direct reports in planning/scheduling
- Partner with Sales, Contracts, and Program Mgmt to build a clear picture of customer demand profiles.
- Align the Master Production Schedule and SIOP forecast
- Utilize the ERP system (IFS) to manage the material flow and work prioritization, automating manual processes where possible.
- Ensure material flow to the production line without material shortage and with appropriate inventory level in concert with the Inventory Supervisor
- Data Analysis: extract data from the ERP system, dissect, and present information to aid in critical business decisions
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 5 years of progressive SC experience in Planning and Scheduling
- Prior experience as a people leader with employee engagement experience
- Proven process improvement (Lean 6S) and SIOP implementation experience
- Metal manufacturing and machining manufacturing process experience
- Low volume/high mix manufacturing/supply chain exposure
- Must be a US Citizen for consideration
