What you'll do on a typical day:
- Lead/direct planning-related functions of the distribution center, e.g., plan and schedule inbound receipts and outbound shipments, replenishment activities, inventory slotting, capacity analysis, order prioritization and expedite processing
- Develop and execute operational level reporting for site level leadership team and the client
- Support Operations teams to ensure service level standards are met; adhere to all contractual obligations and ensure client compliance
- Identify growth opportunities with current customers by promoting enhanced services and/or cost savings to the customer, partner with site leadership in all customer visits, conference calls and problem-solving efforts
- Track, record and maintain planning and operations-related data; deploy planning-based metrics to ensure optimized operational efficiencies
- Support the identification and deployment of cost-saving initiatives through deployment of planning based continuous improvement initiatives within the site
- Handle all direct reports, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, setting expectations, training and development, conducting performance reviews, etc.
At a minimum, you'll need:
- 4 years of experience with complex demand planning activities
- Experience utilizing and deploying solutions within industry leading business intelligence solutions (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, or equivalent)
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
- Working knowledge of statistical methods, mathematical techniques and related analytical tools, including forecasting and projections
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management or other related field
- Working knowledge/understanding of SQL or similar programing languages
- 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience
- APICS certification
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience in Lean manufacturing principles
- Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience
- Experience in quality, inventory, data mining and problem-solving
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
