Job Title: Master Planner/Scheduler
Location: Tucson, AZ 85755
Duration: 06 Months
Pay Range: $22.00 to $27.00
Responsibilities:
Develop a working knowledge of assigned product lines and processes to ensure optimal master
schedule stability, order creation, rescheduling, load leveling, etc.
Performs production line planning to ensure on-time delivery.
Define and maintain the
production plan for all assigned bulk to kit materials, based on requirements (as identified
in MRP), history, and inventory positions using ERP/MRP system.
Facilitating phase-in/phase-out planning in case of material changes in a timely manner to
prevent disruption of supply.
Management of non-finished goods inventory, scrap risks, and achievement of KPIs.
Participation in global, cross-departmental projects.
Manage products to meet companies financial inventory goals including inventory value,
months on hand, and inventory write-offs.
Ensure system parameters used in planning are correct to get the desired service and
inventory levels.
This includes lot size, safety stocks, capacity, lead-time, order policy, forecasts and other parameters.
Analyze forecast and production data to determine the impact throughout the organization.
Monitor orders against forecast, calculate forecast error and communicate to supply chain partners to drive review and correction to demand.
Ensure the resulting planning recommendations are being followed on a routine basis and balance customer needs, material availability, plant capacity and inventory requirements.
Monitor Production for completion of the schedule and work within Operations to improve where needed. Identify, negotiate and resolve conflicts with respect to material and capacity availability and order promising integrity.
Work with Operations Lifecycle Leaders and launch teams to ensure successful launch of new products as well as monitor and manage the existing and transitional products.
Work within policy guidelines pertaining to production planning and scheduling.
Observe and follow all state procedures.
Communicate to internal and external customers with respect to delivery quantities and dates, as well as changes to confirmed delivery dates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business.
5+ plus years experience in manufacturing planning and operations; or related field.
Experience in regulated industry (Diagnostics or Pharmaceuticals) is beneficial but not mandatory.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Possess "Big Picture" Operations knowledge (from material to assembled instrument)
Must be able to work with all departments within company and Global Supply Partners in order to be effective.
Excellent time management skills to manage high volume in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated, organized, creative and good leadership skills.
MRP knowledge a must, SAP experience a plus.
Team and people oriented, professional and displays a "can-do" attitude.
Skilled in using MS Office/Windows in a networked PC environment.
Ability to be flexible and calm under sometimes tense conditions.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret production documents, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
Must have excellent communication skills including the ability to write reports, business correspondence, standard operating procedures, production rework orders, and planning variances.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and internal or external customers.
Working knowledge of FDA and ISO processes and procedures.
Manages direct inventory valued between $5 and $20 M responsible for cover days of inventory and write-offs
Licenses/Certifications:
APICS certification is a plus.
