Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is looking for a Planner/Scheduler to join our team. The Planner/Scheduler will play a critical role in supporting the regional manager by efficiently scheduling and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance for BESS, solar, and wind facilities across various locations. This position is responsible for ensuring that the right resources are deployed quickly and effectively, adapting to high-pressure situations and managing both planned and ad-hoc requests from clients. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, streamline scheduling processes, and optimize the allocation of technicians while closely monitoring project costs to maintain profitability. Success in this role requires exceptional organizational skills, a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and a commitment to maintaining safety and morale.
What you will do as a Planner/Scheduler:
- Schedule regular preventive and corrective maintenance for BESS, solar, and wind systems, supporting regional manager(s) by efficiently dispatching technicians.
- Coordinate maintenance tasks across teams to reduce downtime and ensure efficient, cost-effective operations.
- Collaborate closely with clients on ad-hoc maintenance requests, ensuring quick and effective resource deployment while managing client expectations.
- Strong knowledge of BESS, utility-scale solar, and wind systems.
- Oversee spare parts management to prevent delays, ensuring timely access to necessary components.
- Monitor project costs, ensuring profitability based on the scope of work, especially for corrective maintenance tasks.
- Develop and execute dispatch strategies that match technician expertise to task complexity, minimizing travel costs and improving resource allocation.
- Respond quickly to urgent customer demands, ensuring timely completion of tasks while maintaining safety and operational standards.
- Plan and arrange travel and accommodations for field technicians, managing logistics for fieldwork.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, streamline scheduling processes, and ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize Salesforce FSM to track and manage work orders and maintenance activities.
- Use Salesforce FSM to track key performance metrics and improve accountability within the team.
- Work with vendors and supply chain partners for spare parts procurement, ensuring efficient delivery to sites.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other workplace safety standards while keeping team morale high.
