Position Description
Primary purpose:
+ Creates and maintains pumping and delivery schedules as well as pumping instructions. Monitors inventory control, coordinates line interruptions and responds to non-scheduled events. Oversees the overall operation of pipelines and facilities to ensure safe, effective, and sound practices are followed
Essential duties and responsibilities:
+ Creates schedules for marine vessel, truck, pipelines and clean product activity for batches nominated by customers that include volumes, suppliers, consignees, and cycle numbers.
+ Creates, updates and issues pumping and delivery orders in Galahad for the Operations Coordinators which includes pumping and delivery volumes, suppliers and consignees, mode of delivery, switching instructions, transmix assignments, pump unit requirements, and any operational restrictions.
+ Maintain customer allocations and projections to ensure product availability for the loading rack.
+ Ensures customers remove their transmix deliveries from terminal storage.
+ Maintains record keeping of essential business records and files required regulatory paperwork.
+ Provides administrative functions such as accounts payable, customer billing, answering telephones, and any other tasks directed by Terminal management.
+ Coordinates with Products Accounting any prepayment required from certain customers before their batches are pumped. Updates customers of scheduling changes and coordinates internal notification.
+ Monitors inventory control of company-owned community storage and tanks leased or rented to customers. Performs daily balancing of all terminal inventories and assists inventory personnel as needed.
+ Coordinates with other departments to schedule time for required maintenance activities.
+ Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customer representatives.
+ Responsible for transitioning RVP and winter oxygenate seasons.
+ Assists terminal personnel in resolving problems with or issuing truck driver cards.
+ Job requires constant phone activity
+ Consistently maintain and demonstrate a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets, employees, and the general public
Position Requirements
Minimum requirements: Education:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, engineering or transportation is advantageous
Experience / Specific Knowledge:
+ A minimum of three to five years pipeline/terminal operations or pipeline scheduling/inventory management is required.
+ Must be familiar with pipeline and terminal operations as well as product specifications.
+ Strong analytical, interpersonal and communications skills (in English) are essential. Proven capability to establish and maintain good customer relationships required
Must have knowledge of:
+ Pipeline operations and procedures.
+ Product pumping and delivery schedules, modes, and methods.
+ Pipeline hydraulics.
+ Product specifications.
+ Awareness of and ability to respond to inter-customer relationships and business requirements.
+ Must have good math skills in order to accurately and quickly adjust to changing conditions.
Certification, licenses, registrations:
+ A satisfactory driving record as determined by the Company and a current, valid State driver's license are required.
+ Satisfactorily obtaining or already possessing a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card is a condition of employment. TWIC card is obtained by submitting an application, background check, and having fingerprints taken.

+ Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

+ Remain calm during emergencies and formulate a course of action expeditiously.
Physical demands:
+ Employee must be physically capable of completing and satisfying all training requirements as stipulated by local, state or federal agencies and/or Company Policy.
+ Exposure to smells and fumes associated with refined petroleum products.
+ Field activities may include walking to and amidst work and/or construction sites, climbing in and out of trenches, working around heavy equipment, negotiating rough terrain, areas of loose rock and working in confined spaces.
+ Lab Primarily an office working environment requiring sitting, carrying, and reaching.
Working Conditions:
+ Will be on call 24 hours per day 7 days per week. Cellular phone access is mandatory.
+ Occasional excursions into an industrial outside work environment.
+ May provide back-up coverage to Operations Coordinators.
+ Overtime required and extended work hours in cases of emergencies.
+ Work in remote areas is often performed alone and without direct supervision; judgment is required when consultation with supervisor is not possible. Must schedule and monitor own work.
+ Majority of the work will be conducted from an office environment. Extended periods of sitting may be required for administrative activities.

Preferred education, experience, certifications, competencies, skills, and abilities:
Above the minimum requirement; not required but advantageous in this position:
+ Prior experience requiring mechanical aptitude and skill is a plus
+ Knowledge of piping, valves and pressures
+ Knowledge of pipeline operations
+ Experience with storage tank operations, including inspections, alarms and sampling

Pay range: $39 - 56 per hour. This position includes a discretionary annual incentive plan. Job level and pay commensurate with experience and skill set.
