POSITION DETAILS
Principal Activities
- Plan prepare and control production schedules and coordinate with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved material times to meet production requirements.
- Determine material requirements for engineering and production schedules.
- Coordinate the efficient movement of materials with purchasing and production.
- Responsible for scheduling, requisitioning and monitoring the movement of material through the production facility and will work on a wide variety of complex planning activities where material requirements are new or variable.
- Ability to devise and augment spreadsheets to enhance planning’s ability to proactively communicate information with a sense of urgency
- Actively mitigate and recommend process improvements for work in progress issues, material availability, and potential production problems.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Identify areas of improvement for planning in the MRP system
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within Work orders.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
- Plan and schedule project timeliness and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements, documentation and presentations.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
- Schedule product line within resource constraints, revenue requirements and capacity planning
- Schedule OEM production and MRO production as needed
- Master Schedule product line from document control, item master and item balance management
- Cross train with all planners on all product lines
- Maintain LTA customer forecasts for product line as needed, measure results and performance metrics
- Liaison with production team, program managers and customer service team on an ongoing basis
- Actively involved in increasing production efficiency through scheduling techniques
- Any other duties as directed and required

Education & Experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, Accounting, Materials, Business or related field preferred or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of planning experience within a manufacturing company, preferably aerospace or Master of Business Administration in Supply Chain Management
- APICS CPIM (Certification in Planning and Inventory Management) strongly desired
- Must have experience working within a manufacturing environment using MRP/ERP systems strongly desired
- Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) planning experience desired but not required
PAY RANGE: $72,000.00- $85,000.00.
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
