HR Assistant
Location: Chevy Chase, MD (remote with occasional on-site)
Job Summary: Our client is looking for an HR Assistant to support the HR department in various administrative and clerical tasks. This role involves assisting with benefit administration, maintaining employee records and files, recruitment, supporting client security processes, and providing support for HR-related activities and projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, census management, monthly invoicing, as well as answering employee questions.
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with the security process for on-boarding new employees on to contracts.
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting position description, screening resumes, and helping schedule candidate interviews.
- Prepare and distribute HR-related documents, such as onboarding materials, benefit information and security forms.
- Coordinate and assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Support the HR team in organizing company events and training sessions.
- Conduct research and compile data for HR projects.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the HR Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree; a degree in Human Resources or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as an HR Assistant or in a similar administrative role, must have at least 2 years of work experience.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position.
- Remote work with days on-site as needed.
