We are seeking a skilled Pizza Maker (Dough Master) to join our team at Tonda Restaurant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional dough that forms the foundation of our delicious pizzas. Your expertise in dough preparation and baking techniques will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our pizza offerings. You will also prepare and bake a variety of delicious Italian breads, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare dough for our pizzas in addition to various Italian breads, including ciabatta, focaccia, and sourdough.
- Operate and maintain equipment, such as mixers and ovens - Monitor baking process to ensure dough and breads are baked to perfection
- Follow recipes and adjust ingredients as necessary to achieve desired consistency and flavor
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of ingredients
- Train and supervise junior bakers as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bread baker, preferably specializing in Italian breads
- Knowledge of traditional Italian baking techniques and recipes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy bags of flour
- Flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
