We are a leading construction firm specializing in mechanical contracting, and we're seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Piping Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will oversee complex piping projects from start to finish, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
About the Role:
As a Piping Superintendent at CSUSA Southwest, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of piping installations on large-scale construction projects. You will coordinate the activities of project teams, including pipefitters, welders, and other skilled tradespeople, to ensure that work is performed efficiently and safely.
Your expertise in managing piping systems and your ability to lead a team will be critical in maintaining the company's reputation for delivering high-quality work. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other departments to make sure that designs are followed, materials are properly sourced, and schedules are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise all on-site piping activities, ensuring that work adheres to design specifications and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with project management and engineering teams to ensure timely completion of projects, managing resources, schedules, and budgets.
- Train and mentor team members, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of piping systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Address and resolve any on-site challenges or delays, working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ensure proper documentation of project progress, materials used, and any changes to plans or schedules.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in piping and mechanical construction, with a proven track record of managing successful projects. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as you will be working closely with a diverse team of professionals, as well as clients and subcontractors. A solid understanding of piping systems, codes, and standards is a must.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in the piping or mechanical construction industry, with a focus on large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
- Extensive knowledge of piping systems, welding processes, and relevant codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- A commitment to safety and quality, ensuring all work meets company and regulatory standards.
