Piping Estimator - GPAC

We have an exciting opportunity for a Piping Estimator! Gpac, a 30 year-old recruitment company, is partnered with a well-established company in the Mechanical industry. This is your chance to join a team that values both exceptional service and a friendly working environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with industrial/process and HVAC piping projects, ensuring competitive and profitable bids.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Review project plans specifications, and other relevant documents to understand scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for piping projects, labor, materials, equipment, etc.
• Utilize estimating software and historical cost data to generate accurate and competitive estimates.
• Conduct take-offs and measurements of piping systems.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals to potential clients.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions for projects.
• Analyze and refine estimates as necessary based on project changes or additional information.
• Maintain organized and detailed records of all estimates, bids, and correspondence.

QUALIICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in a construction related field.
• Proven experience as a Piping Estimator in the construction or mechanical industries.
• Proficiency in estimating software and spreadsheet applications.
• Knowledge of piping materials, construction methods, and industry standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
