Job description
Blue Wing Technical currently has a client looking for piping and process designers. The client prefers candidates with a good understanding of piping, P&ID's, isometrics. Candidates must have at least 2 years of AutoCAD experience with Pulp and Paper industry experience .

Job Requirements
- Develop piping isometrics, equipment arrangements, and piping
- Produce detailed drawings and piping designs
- Lead work activities of piping designers to support modernization projects performed in-house or by third-party designers/firms
- Develop piping isometrics, equipment arrangements, and piping supports from piping layout drawings
- Develop utility and process piping isometrics, equipment arrangements, and piping supports from piping layout drawings
- Make any as-built changes to drawings
- Building piping plans and elevations
- Create station and terminal piping construction drawings
- Create material take-offs from piping drawings
- Perform specific piping design functions for the project, including interconnect piping and modeling equipment
- Report to the piping area manager
- Produce complex technical drawings and piping isometrics
- Understand piping design philosophy and ability to perform piping designs from time to time
- Determine piping specifications and specialty items
- Identify basic piping components in the field
- Ensure adequate flexibility in critical piping systems
- Check piping design drawing of vendor shop
- Design complex piping systems for chemical facility
- Walk down piping in the field
- Lay out platforms, buildings
