Job Description:
- Lead the development of system designs in-house, ensuring all designs are up to code and meet project specifications.
- Oversee the coordination and integration of piping systems into overall project design and construction.
- Manage a team of engineers and designers, providing guidance, feedback, and training to ensure the team is performing at its best.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure the seamless integration of systems.
- Develop and implement project schedules and budgets, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Review and approve design drawings and specifications, ensuring they meet quality standards and project requirements.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of piping systems, ensuring they are functioning correctly and safely.
- Manage relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration at all stages of a project.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in piping design and construction, implementing new technologies and practices as appropriate.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in piping design and project management in the construction/ chemical industry,.
- Proven experience leading the development of piping system designs in-house.
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, construction methods, and industry best practices.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Project.
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards
