Key Responsibilities:
This is an entry-level role where the Pipefitter Trainee will assist the Foreman and Journeymen in the layout, assembly, and installation of accessories and equipment.
- Sorting out material, assembling and sealing ductwork on the floor.
- Assist installation crews as a “ground man” which would entail cranking the winch on the duct lift.
- Load, transport, unload and furnish experienced trade workers with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Clean the work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
- Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
- Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of journeyman’s tools and equipment when necessary.
- Perform other routine duties as directed by an experienced tradesperson.
Qualifications
- Technical Trade School completion or undergoing Apprentice Program preferred.
- GED or High School graduate required.
- Must have a Valid driver's License.
- Must be able to follow specific directions and perform a variety of duties that may often change.
- Must be able to evaluate information using measurable standards.
- Must be able to work within standards.
- Must be willing to repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure.
- Ability to hear and speak clearly with professional standard grammar
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, climb stairs/ladders, reach overhead, and maneuver up to fifty (50) pounds.
