The SME PIP is a senior role reporting to the Central Operations Director, and whose responsibilities span Lot 1.
The role holder will use their expert, up to date working knowledge of the PIP FAS solution, PIP operational processes and systems to advise Senior Operations Leadership, Authority and Supply Chain Partners on a wide range of operational service delivery matters as well as leading the business on PIP related initiatives and through the Change Control process.
The role will be responsible for assuring operational processes, quality requirements and frameworks to ensure successful delivery throughout the life of the contract.
Salary:
£60,000 to £65,000
• Provide expert knowledge and policy-based support to Senior Operations Leadership, Authority and Supply Chain Partners, to facilitate the successful delivery of PIP
• Provide subject matter expertise to the Head of Quality PIP, supporting and enabling the delivery of high-quality assessments
• Maintains granular knowledge and understanding of FAS Schedules 2.1 Service Requirements and 2.2 Performance levels and assures adherence to Authority requirements, policy and process guidance. Provide unequivocal direction to Senior Operations Leadership to maintain consistency, strengthen operational integrity and deliver a positive customer experience
• Drive continuous improvement and lead on PIP service enhancing initiatives; acting in close liaison with the Authority, develop and co-ordinate project plans and proof of concepts.
• Identify and share best practices across Teams and Supply Chain Partners, whilst maintaining operational alignment with WCA and Specialist Benefits
• Use expertise to develop comprehensive temporary and/or new guidance related to PIP, providing direction to the Continuous Improvement Lead and Process Designers. Quality assure and review existing guidance, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Represent PIP through the Change Control Procedure by providing insight and impacting to the Solution and Change Manager, to ensure viable and sustainable solutions that are in the best interest of the customer, and represent value for money

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
• Detailed experience/knowledge of PIP benefits process and PIP welfare system
• PIP operational experience with granular knowledge of both Front of House and Back of House PIP processes
• In-depth knowledge of PIP FAS solution
• Proficient with process guidance reviews, including ability to identify and impact service requirements and process changes
• A track record of cross-function collaboration & consultation
• Experience leading significant change projects in PIP / driving continuous improvement strategies in PIP to successful completion, increasing customer satisfaction
Desirable
• Experience of research, validation and assimilating findings into suitably informed proposals
• Experience influencing DWP decisions and change to PIP service delivery models
