Adelphi is seeking to urgently recruit a licensed Psychologist to provide pre-employment psychological evaluations for officer candidates for a Law enforcement Department in California. The Psychologist will assess candidates' fitness for duty, including their psychological, emotional, and mental health, ensuring compliance with the Department's standards.

Requirements:
• Must have doctoral degree in Psychology.
• Must be licensed to practice in California.
• Must meet CPE requirements set by POST.
• Preferably board-certified in Police and Public Safety Psychology Licensed
• 3 years experience working in California.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for peace officer candidates, ensuring compliance with the POST Peace Officer Psychological Screening  Dimensions.
• Assess for psychological suitability and potential biases, as outlined in the Bias Assessment Framework.
• Document findings and prepare the Psychological Suitability Declaration for inclusion in the candidate's background investigation file.
• Ensure that all psychological evaluations are valid for a period of one year and adhere to the POST guidelines and standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
