Responsibilities
Ascension Wisconsin is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Famly Medicine Physician Hospitalist. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Wisconsinto provide medical services to patients.
OPPORTUNITY
- Join a well-established practice consisting of Hospitalists and Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
- 2 Day teams and 1 Nocturnist team; 4 Day Hospitalists and 1 Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants
- 7on/7off, 12-hour shifts with 175 shifts per year (Tuesday-Monday work week, with 2-3 weeks of night coverage per year
- Procedures not required, but able to perform if desired
- Respond to Code Blue/Rapid Response Calls

- Mercy Hospital is licensed for 157-beds with employed primary, specialty and subspecialty care clinicians; there are 12-ICU beds - has a very supportive nursing and administrative team
- Hospitalists have support from onsite services including Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Renal and Surgical Specialities
- Mercy Hospital has well-established tele-services of Infectious Disesas, Neurology and Critical Care
- Patients per day: 15-18 per team of Hospitalist and APNP support
- Committed to delivering high-quality, cost effective care to all, especially those who are poor and vulnerable, regardless of their ability to pay
- Strong 24/7 Hospitalist, Emergency Care and ICU services
- Certified stroke and chest pain center - Level III trauma center

Required Credential(s):
One or more of the following:
Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Licensure is dependent on state associate works in. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
Preferred Credential(s):
Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA). Verified by local Credentialing Office.
Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
