Responsibilities
Ascension St. Vincent Family Medicine Residency Program is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Board Certified Physician Faculty Member . This is a great teaching opportunity in an immersive academic atmosphere within the FM residency program. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior faculty member to learn outpatient staffing, resident teaching and formation and practice management from a team of experienced faculty.
Working at our Outpatient Clinic, the Primary Care Center, you become a part of something very special. This position is more flexible than your average clinical position. It is extremely rewarding to care for all persons - rich, poor, vulnerable, immigrant, refugee, coworker. In this work, you will be joining others with a similar mission and vision. You will work with primarily resident learners of different specialties and levels but may also encounter learners in every field from techs to nurses to pharmacists to medical students to develop your skills as a clinician, educator and mentor.
Preference to applicants who offer an additional skill such as:
+ Ability to act as Inpatient attending for FM team adult medicine service
+ Clinic staffing of Obstetrics
+ Procedures such as joint injections, POCUS, casting/splinting, newborn circumcision;
+ Providing attending coverage for OB care in labor and delivery.
+ Administrative skills to
+ design and implement residency curriculum
+ manage residency rotation experiences
+ Competence in Medication Assisted Therapy for substance use disorder is preferred but can be learned from fellow faculty
Practice Highlights:
+ Office Hours: M-F 8am-5:00pm
+ Expected patient office volume:
+ up to 8 patients per half day session when in private practice
+ 15-20 patients per half day when supervising residents in FM clinic
+ Expected hospital patient volume: 4 on OB, 16-18 Adult inpatients

Requirements
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
+ Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
+ Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
Education:
+ Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
