Job Description:
The Physician - Center Medical Director will provide clinical oversight, leadership, and management of medical operations within the center. You will work closely with clinical teams to ensure quality patient care, promote best practices, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. This is a senior-level position that combines clinical responsibilities with a strong focus on leadership and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the medical staff at the center, providing guidance, mentorship, and clinical oversight.
- Collaborate with the administrative team to develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Ensure that the center meets all clinical and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the delivery of patient care, including reviewing patient care plans, making rounds, and providing direct care as needed.
- Work with other healthcare professionals to develop and maintain clinical protocols, including quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and manage performance evaluations, continuing medical education, and staff training programs.
- Stay current on clinical research, trends, and healthcare innovations to enhance care practices.
- Maintain strong patient relationships and provide excellent patient care while promoting a patient-first environment.
- Participate in strategic planning and business development activities to support the center's growth and success.
Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in California
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Occupational or Preventive Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine or PM&R
- Minimum of 3 years of experience at a Family Practice, Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Department and leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality improvement practices, and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate healthcare teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Schedule:
- Full-time, No weekends
- 90% clinically treating patients
- 10% administration
