We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Pain Management department. The ideal candidate will have a background in Pain Management, Orthopedics, Spine, and Vein Disease.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with physicians to manage patients with chronic pain conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history evaluations and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures.
- Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
- Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
- Make tentative diagnoses and decisions about the management and treatment of patients.
- Obtain, compile, and record patient medical data, including health history, progress notes, and results of physical examination.
- Prescribe therapy or medication with physician approval.
- Assist physicians during surgical procedures.
- Provide education to patients and families around the nature of the disease, treatment options, and the recovery process.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain current knowledge of the latest treatments and advancements in the field of pain management.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Must be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Must have a current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of practice.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in Pain Management, Orthopedics, Spine, or Vein Disease.
