Physician Assistant (PA) / Nurse Practitioner (NP) at Family Practice Associates of Carson

Job Description:

We are looking for a PA-C or NP, who is passionate about advocating for our community in Carson California. This is a full-time position.

Essential Duties:

- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients under the supervision of a physician
- Conduct physical examinations and review medical histories
- Diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and administer treatments
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures and treatment options

Skills:

• Bilingual (Spanish) is a must.
• Public health: Understanding of public health principles and ability to promote health education and disease prevention within the community.
• Triage: Skill in assessing the urgency of patient conditions and prioritizing care accordingly.
• ICD-10: Familiarity with the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) coding system for accurate documentation and billing purposes.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
• Current state licensure as a PA or NP
