We are a privately owned clinic, seeking a Certified Physician Assistant to join our urgent injury care team. This position will cover evenings and weekends at our urgent injury care clinic. Hours will be 9AM-3PM Saturday and Sunday and weeknights from 5PM-8PM. Full benefits are available to anyone working at least 30 hours per week.

We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and highly skilled Permanent Physician Assistant-Orthopedics to join our dynamic medical team. This individual will play a crucial role in providing exceptional healthcare to our orthopedic patients, working closely with our team of orthopedic surgeons and medical professionals. The successful candidate will have a passion for patient-centered care, a commitment to teamwork, and a deep understanding of orthopedic medicine. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in diagnosing and treating a variety of orthopedic issues, including fractures, dislocations, sprains, and other conditions.
2. Perform comprehensive orthopedic screenings and physical examinations to identify patient needs and determine appropriate treatment plans.
3. Assist orthopedic surgeons during surgeries, including preoperative and postoperative care.
4. Provide patient education on orthopedic conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures.
5. Administer injections, apply casts, splints, and braces, and perform other therapeutic procedures as needed.
6. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with medical regulations and standards.
8. Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide top-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in Orthopedics.
2. Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license.
3. Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (PA-C).
4. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
5. Extensive knowledge of orthopedic conditions and treatments, with a strong ability to interpret diagnostic tests and medical imaging.
6. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to explain complex medical information to patients in a clear and understandable manner.
7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining accurate and thorough patient records.
8. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
9. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in orthopedic medicine.
